The Masterstroke Brow Trio, €32, browaid.com

Thankfully, overplucking seems to be a thing of the past and we now appreciate how impactful eyebrows can function as scaffolding for the face. No one understands this better than eyebrow artist Kim O’Sullivan and the next best thing to an appointment at her Dublin Make-Up Academy is her range of Brow Aid products. The Masterstroke Brow Trio has a pen to fill, a waterproof pencil to shape and a brush to blend and comb. SC €32, Brown Thomas, selected pharmacies, or see browaid.com

Spring in your scent

Perfumers Cloon Keen and Céline Guivarc’h have joined forces to create the Galway-based atelier’s new scent, Báinín, named for the soft white wool homespun for traditional fishermen’s geansaís. The creators — who previously collaborated on Cloon Keen’s Énbarr fragrance — promise evocations of sea air and gorse, dew on leaves and “delicate rain on warm earth”. There is something primrose-yellow about the scent, with mandarin, lemon, peppermint, two types of jasmine and a grounding base of sandalwood and cedars, among other notes. SC €130, Cloon Keen shops, Galway and Dublin 2, or see cloonkeen.com
