This nonsense just has to stop. Retaining the provincials as an essential part of the All-Ireland SFC is a smack in the face for common sense.
Ulster and Connacht are fine – Munster and, most especially, Leinster are not. Kerry and Dublin control the latter two, ensuring top seedings for the All-Ireland series, while the runners-up, usually from Divisions 2 and 3, are handed second seedings ahead of more entitled teams.
